Elizabeth Murphy from HammondAtHome Shoalhaven explained aged care options to the group.
Mrs Murphy spoke about Hamond Care’s home care packages that enable aged persons to remain in their own home instead of moving into a residential care facility.
Hammond Care provides a client liaison manager who visits their home and each person has a package tailored to their individual needs.
She told members assistance could be anything from day-to-day activities such as personal care and domestic help, transport to medical appointments or more extensive care if required.
In other VIEW Club news, the evening VIEW club’s book ‘A VIEW from the Heart’, which is a selection of 60 stories and recollections from local residents, has been re-printed and is now available from Harbour Bookshop in Rowans Arcade for $24.99.
Profits from the book, and from VIEW meetings and fundraising, go to support the Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, which supports disadvantaged children to gain an education.
Ulladulla Evening VIEW Club’s next monthly dinner meeting will be held in the Alley Gallery at the Dunn and Lewis centre on Wednesday, May 10 at 6pm for 6.30pm.
VIEW members and friends catch up for a relaxed coffee morning ‘meet and greet’ on the last Saturday of each month at varying venues in the local area. The next ‘meet and greet’ will be at Anglers Café, Entrance Road, Lake Conjola on Saturday, April 29 at 10am.
Visitors are welcome at meetings and the coffee morning. For more information about the VIEW Club, contact Monica Morrison on 4454 3262 or email monica.morrison1@gmail.com. Visit www.view.org.au for information.
