The event, held to raise money for the Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Fundraiser appeal, has raised more than $10,000 since it began six years ago.

The late Lyn Anderson of Ulladulla started the event and this year it is being continued in her honour. 

Lyn was very passionate about raising awareness of the disease, with it tragically striking a number of her family members including her mother, sister and niece.

Sadly, Lyn lost her battle with breast cancer in January and this year a number of her very close friends, including her son and daughter-in-law, will continue the tradition and hold the event in memory of her.

“They are obviously big shoes we have to fill,” Gillian Drury said. 

“She was a passionate community person who wanted to bring something fun and memorable to the area while raise money and awareness.  

“We just want to have lots of people there, the more the better and the more money we can raise the better, each year we just want to make it bigger and better.” 

Bingo for Boobs will be held in the downstairs area of Mollymook Bowling Club on Thursday, October 19 at 12.30pm and 7pm, everyone is welcome to attend and pink-dress is suggested.  

Cost is $10 per session and includes 20 bingo games and light refreshments. 

There will be a raffle and special prize games at both sessions and a cake stall at the 12.30pm session.
