The Master Builders Association Southern Regions held their 10th annual awards presentation evening on Saturday, June 17 at the Ulladulla Civic Centre with more than 300 people in attendance.

A record number of entries were received this year and projects were judged over a 13-day period, with an average of nine projects per day.
Judges, Ross Meredith and Peter Glen said the quality of work which was astounding and congratulated all who entered. The judges said they found it very difficult to select the winner for each category.
Major Award Winners
- Young Builder of the Year - Jamie Shaw, Jamie Shaw Building from Nowra
- Commercial Builder of the Year – ARW Multigroup Pty Ltd from Goulburn
- Residential Builder of the Year - Jim Sell, Quality Country Homes Southern Highlands
There was also two new additional awards this year, Safety Award and Apprentice of the Year.
- Safety Award residential site- Matt Jolly, Matt Jolly Building
- Safety Award commercial site - Edwards Constructions (NSW) Pty Ltd
- Safety Award civil project – Fulton Hogan Construction Pty Ltd for the Berry Bypass
- Apprentice of the Year Award – Mitchell Jeffrey who completed his apprenticeship with Rob Hudson, Rob Hudson Building, Narooma
