Work will take place from Monday, May 22 to Friday, May 26, from 7am to 6pm, weather permitting.

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the $800 000 works would increase skid resistance and provide a safer road surface on the two-kilometre stretch of highway.

The works will link two previously upgraded sections at Rotary Drive and east Nelligen.

Changed traffic conditions, including a reduced speed limit and temporary lane closure with alternating traffic flow, will be in place.
