In excess of 2000 people are estimated to have attended the Ulladulla dawn service at 6am on Tuesday.
The Australian and New Zealand national anthems were sung and an address on the theme of ANZAC was given by Commodore Rob Elliot CSC, RAN.
Milton Ulladulla RSL Sub-Branch President Paul Warren said it was a “great turn out” to the commemoration.
“We are expecting more at the march in Milton but it is predicted to rain so that may deter some people,” he said.
“It is hard to tell exactly how many people were at the dawn service but I would say the crowd was similar to last year. I would say more than 2000 people were there.”
