The Panthers, who in their last match defeated the Sussex Seahawks 3-nil, will head into this Saturday’s match against Shoalhaven Heads-Berry at Lighthouse Oval full of confidence.
Panthers head coach Rod Kain said his team aren’t getting too ahead of themselves.
“Obviously the first up victory is nice and you’re only as good as your last game – so it’s up to us to show up again this weekend,” Kain said.
“I thought the way that the boys played as a unit, considering it was the first game for six of the guys, was great.
“Overall, the team spirit they all showed was great and they all followed instructions, which is pleasing.”
The Panthers have a busy weekend in store, backing up on Sunday against Shoalhaven United at Lyrebird Park, to make up for their washed out round one clash.
