Supercars head back to Victoria
04 Nov 09 | V8 Supercars returns to Phillip Island this weekend for round 12 in this year's series. Originally scheduled to run in Bahrain the twin race meeting has been relocated to the Victorian circuit after the announcement that the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series will begin with a Middle East double-header at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit on February 18-20, before the second event at Bahrain's International Circuit on February 25-27.
Revived Moet Cup breaks all the records
04 Nov 09 | THE Moet Cup Women's Golf Classic has broken all records in the year of its revival. Around 80 women, mostly locals, hit off at the Hilltop Golf Course on the day - more than twice the number than in previous years.
Kaye shines again on the world stage
04 Nov 09 | LOCAL swimmer Kaye Beer has cemented her position as one of the best swimmers in her age group in the world with a dominant display at the Sydney 2009 World Masters Games. Kaye returned home from last month's event at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre with four medals including three gold and a silver.
Top names to take court
04 Nov 09 | THE Milton-Ulladulla District Tennis Association will again host the South Pacific Open Tennis Tournament at its Warden Street tennis complex this weekend (November 6, 7 and 8). Following on the success of the inaugural tournament last year, which had a classification of Open Money Tournament, Tennis NSW has elevated this year's event to a Tier 3 Tournament.

04 Nov 09 | AN attempt to save Mollymook’s extended lifeguard service was knocked on the head at last week’s Shoalhaven City Council meeting. Councillor Robert Miller submitted a recision motion in an effort to reinstate an extension to the service proposed for the south end of Mollymook Beach.
Tuna men optimistic
04 Nov 09 | CUTS to Southern Blue Fin Tuna quotas have many long-line fishermen worried, but Ulladulla’s Mario Puglisi and Mario Basile remain optimistic about the changes. The two men hold the largest blue fin quotas in the district and have been expecting their quotas to be cut for many years.
Second edition of Good Food Guide is now available
04 Nov 09 | THE Milton Ulladulla Publishing Company’s tourism publication, The South Coast Leisure Times, is set to launch the second edition of the local Good Food Guide this week. The free colour guide covers the Milton and Ulladulla area and includes information on a range of eating options from restaurants and cafes to delicatessens, organic produce stores and green grocers.

04 Nov 09 | The relocation of Autumn Solar’s China swimming pool production plant to Thailand will have a flow-on effect to its Ulladulla factory. Owner Steve Merrett has denied claims that he plans to close his operation at South Ulladulla where solar panels and pool heating electronic components are assembled for export.
No big bang for new year
04 Nov 09 | ULLADULLA may have a spectacular new harbour foreshore, but it will not be packed with people on New Year’s Eve following the cancellation of this year’s fireworks display. A lack of sponsorship has left organiser Eric Croker from Sunset Fireworks with no choice but to pull the pin on the event.

04 Nov 09 | Plans for a multi million dollar development in Ulladulla's central business district have been shelved. William Fitch told the Times yesterday (Tuesday) that his family had pulled the pin on a $40 million development on the corner of Wason Street and the Princes Highway because it had "run out of time, money and patience" after four years of dealing with Shoalhaven City Council and the State Government.

Riders enjoy 24-hour event
28 Oct 09 | ON October 10 and 11 the single largest 24-hour mountain biking race was held at Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra. The Scott 24 hour is a widely enjoyed mass participation race, allowing riders of all abilities out on the tracks together, battling it out in a fun festival like atmosphere. You will see weekend warriors out on the track alongside riders of Olympic, world and national standard.
Community Auskick to commence on Monday

BACK ON TRACK
28 Oct 09 | IT has been a frustrating few years for Scott Richardson. First came the torn hamstring during a major track meet in Adelaide. Then came the torn calf and a problem with his archilles that required cortisone injections to deaden the pain. And let's not forget the "little niggles" like shin splints that all helped conspire to keep Scott off the track. But he's back.
