EVER dreamed of having a place to get crafty, away from home?
Well tonight may be the night to make that dream a reality.
Members of the Milton Ulladulla Bowling Club woodworkers’ group have kick-started a proposal to create a custom built craft centre for local groups.
A meeting is planned for tonight (Wednesday, October 21) to discuss the idea and anyone involved in local craft groups or interested in finding out more is encouraged to attend.
Woodworkers member and craft centre advocate Brian Marley is encouraging anyone interested to come along.
“Most of our craft groups in Milton Ulladulla, do not have a ‘home’ of their own,” he said.
“We believe that if all craft groups joined together to form an overall incorporated association, this association would have a very good chance of building a community craft centre where all of our groups could be housed.”
Brian went on to encourage everyone involved in a craft group or who has ideas to share to attend the meeting on tonight.
“The meeting has been called for all local group members to have a say, to bring their own ideas to the table, to assess support and to formally decide if a community centre is feasible,” Brian said.
“Even if you feel that your group may not have a place in this centre, we would still value your comments on the idea, so please attend and contribute.”
The meeting will be held at the Milton Ulladulla Bowling Club meeting room tonight from 7pm.
