ALL roads will lead to Nowra on Sunday for the running of the annual Mollymook Cup.
Mollymook Turf Club officials have their fingers crossed for sensational October weather and are confident that local residents will turn out in their hundreds for this year's Cup at Nowra's Archer Racecourse.
The naming rights for all seven races on this year's program were decided at a sponsors' dinner at the Mollymook Golf last Friday night with Kellams Bus Lines winning the naming rights for this year's Mollymook Cup.
Naming rights also went to South Coast Business and Financial Solutions, South Coast Pest Solutions, Kel Campbell P/L, John Johnston Building, BMD Constructions and the Mollymook Golf Club.
Fashion will be a big part of this year's event with approximately $3000 in prizes up for grabs in three different categories.
Ladies under 35 will be judged after race three followed by ladies 35 and over after race four and best dressed gentlemen after race five.
In the Ladies Under 35 category judges will be looking for a 'stand alone' look that displays this season's fashion statement.
Clever use of a hat/headwear and accessory coordination is important for racegoers to be able to strut their style.
For Ladies 35 and Over it will be all about elegance.
'Essentials' include accessories that compliment each other and the overall outfit, headwear and hoisery.
Judges will also be looking for deportment, elegance and impeccable grooming.
The gentlemen will need a clean, well cut suit and polished shoes.
The overall look should be on 'raceday' fashion rather than a business look.
The first race is expected to be held at approximately 1pm with buses departing from the Ulladulla Civic Centre from 12 noon.
Those people wanting to travel by bus need to book their seat by contacting Linda Smith at Ulladulla Brick Supplies (next door to the Ulladulla Fire Station) on 4455 2206 or 0400 694 001 and will be issued with a bus ticket.
Local residents are also being encouraged to sign up as Mollymook Turf Club members in the lead up to the event.
Turf club members will pay only $5 for transport to the event (as opposed to $20 for non turf club members) but will also be admitted to the racecourse free of charge.
Those people wanting to become turf club members at a cost of $15 can do up until Friday afternoon.
