THE three largest local clubs joined together last week to celebrate community organisations and present donations.
The Milton Ulladulla Bowling Club hosted the event held in conjunction with the Mollymook Golf Club and the Milton-Ulladulla Ex-Servo's.
The three clubs presented community groups with thousands of dollars in donations and guests enjoyed drinks and canapes.
The funds were raised through the Community Development Support Expenditure (CDSE) scheme.
Milton Ulladulla Bowling Club secretary manager Michael O'Sullivan helped organise the event and was proud to be able to join with other clubs to help the community.
"We have an amazing number of community groups and volunteers who work tirelessly in the area," he said.
"It is wonderful to be able to give these valuable community members the chance to be recognised and to celebrate all their efforts."
The clubs have supported a range of community organisations over the past year and Milton Ulladulla Bowling Club chairman Bob Bell, Mollymook Golf Club chairman Ron Warpole and Milton Ulladulla Ex-Servo's chairman Greg Brumby were delighted to be able to present cheques to these groups.
Receiving donations on the night were Ulladulla Public School, the Community Resource Centre, Bawley Point Rural Fire Brigade, Ulladulla Stroke Care, the Ulladulla Youth Centre, Milton Ulladulla Driver Education, the Ulladulla RVCP and the Kioloa RVCP.
The Ulladulla Domestic Violence Support Centre, Recovery Services (Day to Day Living Skills Program), Milton Playgroup, Ulladulla Girl Guides, Budawang School, the Shoalhaven Parkinson Support Group, the University of Wollongong, the Aerial Patrol, Ulladulla Milton Lions Club and the Ulladulla Pistol Club were also supported by the clubs.
Other recipients included Milton Ulladulla Pre-School, the Ulladulla Children's Centre, Milton Ulladulla RSL Sub Branch, the Mid South Coast Legacy Group and the Mollymook Surf Club.
Held last Thursday, dozens joined together to receive donations and thank the clubs.
"It was a great opportunity for community representatives to meet others who volunteer their time and to network," Mr O'Sullivan said.
"The night was a great success and we were happy to be able to host the evening."
The clubs rotate the evening through the three clubs and will celebrate again this time next year.
All three clubs welcome funding requests through the club.
