MORE than half of the lots in Milton's new Northview boutique residential development have already been sold.
Northview is a joint venture between Xcel Property Group and Paul Ramsay Holdings.
Located on Eyrie Bowrie Drive, the 43.7 Ha development consists of 43 lots priced between $187,000 and $247,000.
Developer Kim Clarke, managing director of Xcel Properties, said Northview had attracted more than 200 expressions of interest largely though word of mouth in the local community.
Fifty three per cent of the lots have been sold.
Approximately 70 per cent of enquiries about Northview have come from within the Shoalhaven region with 17 per cent from Sydney's southern suburbs, four per cent from Sydney's eastern suburbs and four per cent from Canberra.
Mr Clarke said the early sales gave a very promising snapshot of buyer demand for Milton.
He said Milton properties, on average, spent 65 fewer days on the market than other properties in the Shoalhaven even though their median price was $80,000 higher.
He said property prices were on the increase in Milton because it was a "beautiful, quaint town" with stunning views and just a short drive from the beach and harbour.
One buyer, local farmer Gavin Bottomly, described Northview as "the best bit of land on the South Coast".
Mr Clarke said construction work in the development had been completed and buyers were now able to settle on their blocks and start building.
