Jester is no clown
01 Sep 10 | Last Saturday's rally was well attended with riders enjoying some training over the cross country course in beautiful sunshine. Hayley Perrin, riding her newly acquired lovely big grey horse, Jester, made a huge impression on the instructors and spectators, with many commenting on the great combination they make.
Club answers call
01 Sep 10 | MOLLYMOOK Surf Club's 24 hour rescue/recovery call out service has been activated a number of times to assist in rescues and evacuations to the west of the coast line. In April 1989 police received a report that a camper (suffering from hypothermia and shock) was marooned on the banks of the Clyde River. He had lost his car and caravan in savage flood waters and was in a bad way. The club's IRB was called out by the police to affect the rescue.
Penalties too much
01 Sep 10 | IN most cases, performing dogs are usually obedient to a whistle, but after last Saturday night's performance most of the dogs - especially the Bulldog breed residing in the Milton-Ulladulla region - were virtually deafened by the continuous and over zealous whistle-blowing that resulted in 24 penalties overall and marred what could have been an interesting Group Seven South Coast Rugby League First Grade semi-final eliminator at Mollymook Oval.
Cars to muscle up

DOGGIES BOW WOW OUT OF CONTENTION
01 Sep 10 | THE 2010 season is over for the Milton Ulladulla Bulldogs' first grade squad after being defeated by Jamberoo 32-24 at Mollymook Oval. It was a disappointing to this year's title hunt with the penalties falling heavily against the Bulldogs. The game looked to be over in the first half with the Roos cruising to an early 26-0 lead.

Ladies play vital role
25 Aug 10 | DURING the mid to late 1950s females were admitted as members of the Ladies' Auxiliary only. This meant that they helped raise funds for the club and organised social events. They did not have any role in patrolling the beach and were prohibited from being active members.
Newcomer closes in
25 Aug 10 | A BIG crowd enjoyed the National Motor Racing Championships at the newly extended Morgan Park Raceway in Queensland. James Sera dominated proceedings in the Sports Sedans Series in his Chevrolet powered Saab, closing in on points leader Darren Hossack, who failed to score any points after qualifying on pole, suffering a blown engine in race one.
Five riders attend sporting day
25 Aug 10 | ON Sunday, August 15, five riders attended Batemans Bay Pony Club's Sporting Day. Emily, Caitlin, Keira, Jade and Hayley represented the club brilliantly, placing well in their respective grades. Julie, our wonderful event secretary made special mention of Caitlin's pony and her spectacular display of 'capriole'.
IT'S DO OR DIE FOR THE DOGS
25 Aug 10 | THE rest of the leading contenders in this year's VB South Coast Group Seven first grade rugby league competition can be thankful the last round has now been completed after Berry Shoalhaven-Heads keenly demolished an injury-ridden Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs 38-12 on Saturday night at Mollymook Oval in wintry conditions.
New regulations pave way for superstars in Supercars
18 Aug 10 | THE V8 Supercar Board has opened the way for high-profile international drivers such as Marcos Ambrose to race in Australia by allowing one-race 'wildcard' entries. Two time V8 Supercars Champion turned Nascar star Marcos Ambrose is again in line for a wildcard entry for the season-ending Sydney Telstra 500.
Great results in netball comp
18 Aug 10 | The weather was altogether too good over the weekend and it is starting to heat up out there on the courts. Seahorses had the bye this week but will have to work hard next week with a double header as well as the Dolphins, so parents be prepared for a long morning.
Dogs still in the hunt
18 Aug 10 | MILTON-Ulladulla Bulldogs are still in the hunt for premiership honours after Albion Park ran away for a 36-16 win last Saturday night to claim the 2010 VB South Coast Group Seven rugby league first grade minor premiership with a seven try romp at Centenary Field.
18 Aug 10 | THE first of two big charity golf days in coming weeks will be held at the Hilltop Golf Course in Mollymook next Friday (August 27). The annual Peter Ryan Memorial Golf is always a popular event on the local golfing calendar and this year will be no exception.
Marlins lose a nail biter grand final
18 Aug 10 | OH SO CLOSE! THE Ulladulla Marlins' inaugural season fell disappointingly short on Sunday afternoon when the team lost this year's grand final to 2010 South Coast Baseball Association Premiers, the Tilba Foxes. It was a hard fought nine innings affair, one which the Marlins trailed for most of the game.
Success continues
11 Aug 10 | YOUNG Jacque Isarin's star continues to rise. The talented 10-year-old go karter finished second in the HDT NSW State Titles at Wollongong late last month. It was an outstanding result for the youngster - a student at St Mary's Star of the Sea - considering there was some serious competition in his division.
Tired Dogs go down
11 Aug 10 | ROUND 16 of the VB South Coast Group Seven Rugby League competition saw a club suspended, two upset results with one team omitted and another team hanging-on for grim life as six teams vie for five spots with only a fortnight remaining.
Club had great start
11 Aug 10 | THE first annual report of the Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club was printed in the local Times newspaper of September 6, 1935 and is reprinted in its entirety. Gentlemen: The first year of the club's life has been satisfactory in every respect.
Ambrose three-peat
11 Aug 10 | Two time Supercar Champion Marcos Ambrose has etched his name into the American Nascar record books and continued the Australian domination of motorsport in 2010. For the third consecutive year Ambrose took complete control of proceedings on the New York state road course winning the Nascar Nationwide Series Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International Raceway after starting from pole position.
Sheedy shares wisdom
11 Aug 10 | AFL legend Kevin Sheedy had a simple message for students at Shoalhaven Anglican School last week - find something that you love doing and get passionate about it. Sheedy, on a tour of the South Coast to promote Team GWS, took time out of his busy schedule to speak with a number of SAS students last Friday morning.
