Croquet club is back in full swing

03 Feb, 2010 12:05 PM
AFTER the Christmas New Year break which provided an opportunity for the lawn to be renovated, the Milton-Ulladulla Croquet Club is back in swing.

During the break the club held two successful sausage sizzles at Bunnings which will help to fund maintenance of the lawn and improvements for the club.

The Mollymook Beach Bowling Club is now assisting the croquet club to maintain the croquet lawn and Jason McDermott, the greenkeeper, has done a good job on the renovation.

The croquet lawn at the showground is looking very nice indeed.

Regular groups are back in play and teams are being formed for the club's twilight competition to be played in the evenings while daylight saving is still with us.

The Wednesday morning croquet clinic for members will recommence on February 10.

The clinics provide an opportunity for members to learn more about the game, to hone their shot skills and to improve their game tactics.

Persons who may be interested in finding out about croquet or possibly joining the croquet club are welcome to make enquiries by ringing 4454 1172.
