Girls take on Nationals

07 Dec, 2011 10:41 AM
Congratulations to our beautiful juniors Anika Smith, Maddi Healey, Maddy Woods and Chloe who competed in Sydney for the Junior Physical Culture National's last Sunday.

Every girl did so very well and we were so proud of them all.

It is definitely a combined effort from many people to make these girls as good as they are.

Anika Smith was very beautiful and showed great discipline for a 6 year old and made a Semi-Final which is top 38 in Australia.

Our 7 year Maddi Healey wowed the audience with her strong Physie and beautiful posture and also made a Semi-Final top 38 in Australia.

Maddy Woods competed in the 8 year section and looked stunning and was a joy to watch. Chloe competed in a very tough 12 year section and her physie was amazing.

Chloe made it to the National Final which is top 18 in Australia, an excellent achievement.

A huge congratulations to every girl who in our eyes were all winners.

Aunty Robyne and Alicia are so very proud of these girls.

It is wonderful to see after these girls and their families put so much time and effort into practising and stretching that it really has paid off.

It is not just the results but the enjoyment, fun and friendships these girls and all our Physie girls get out of this wonderful sport that makes us so happy and thrilled to be their teachers.

Our end of year Club Competition will be held on Saturday, December 10, at the Civic Centre stating at 1pm.

For anyone interested in seeing what Physie is about please come along and enjoy a wonderful display, everyone is welcome.

All members are encouraged to get their friends and family to come and watch and remember that if you bring a new friend next year you will be rewarded with a certificate and badge. Thank you so much to all our support we have been given this year, we are overwhelmed with the generosity of this town, we didn't even have to ask, it's all been given.

What a big surprise from Bendigo Bank who gave us a large donation to replace our 'Champion of Champions' perpetual trophy.

We were blown away by their generosity so thank you very much.

A huge thank you to Blayne and Kama Smith of Classique Upholstery for donating all the 'Consistent Effort' trophies. Another large donation from Douglas Transport for the yearly Club Champion of Champions. Thank you Mission Employment and Dean and Min Hartmann for your large donation.

A big thank you to all our other sponsors who will all be mentioned at our club comp and in next week’s paper, without you all we could not supply our members with such wonderful trophies and awards at the end of the year.

There will be a raffle drawn on the day of the Club Competition which will include a stunning large 'Tree of Life' and perfumed candle which were donated by Signature Collections and we hear there will be some Ella-Bache also donated for our raffle.

Anyone who was awarded a perpetual trophy last year could you please hand them back in or drop them around to Aunty Robyne's house as soon as possible so we can start getting ready for our end of year presentation night.

Also, we are very pleased with the comments from the other clubs about our new club shirts and how classy and beautiful all the girls look in them so thank you so much Evelyn McLeod and Leisure Coast Embroidery for getting them ready in time for our competitions.
