On November 27, eight junior members from Yuukan attended the South Coast Open at Bomaderry.
The tournament was extremely successful for the club, with many trophies including the throw of the day.
Amelie Gautier competed in three divisions, winning trophies for a second and two third places.
Not only did she show great techniques to her components she also proved this to other referees and officials and received the throw of the day.
Nikolas and Marko Radosavljevic both received the second place.
Both boys judo skills are now excelling with them competing at many tournaments under their belts.
Nicholas Dinnen competed in a large division, he fought exceptionally well and was awarded third place.
Eva Gautier and Emily Stein fought courageously and both received the third place.
Pia Hollywood defeated all her opponents and was awarded first place.
Lance Curtis is developing more skills with each tournament he competes in.
He bought home a third place.
It was a first for the senior members of our club, who were not able to compete and support their team mates due to participating in the National Talent Identification and Development training day at Olympic Park on the same day.
This year is the first year that one of our members, Blake Nolan is eligible to be selected for this program, we wish him all the best.
The club is looking forward to the Christmas break and again we will have our beach training session in these holidays, weather permitting.
We would like to wish all our supporters, sponsors, members and their families a very merry and safe Christmas.
