TALENTED young go karter Dylan Goodger has successfully defended his junior title at the NSW Speedway Kart Club Championships.
Sixteen-year-old Dylan, a student at Ulladulla High School, has only been racing for three years but already has two state championships to his name.
The Manyana teenager now has his sights set firmly on a national title when he competes in Tasmania in April.
It will be his last chance to snare a national junior title before moving up to the seniors.
Members of the South Coast Speedway Kart Club dominated the placings in three of the four divisions at Surfair Speedway in Moruya on the weekend.
Competitors travelled from Queensland and Victoria for the event, with Dylan taking the chequered flag in the first event of the championships in from of fellow South Coast club member Aiden Corish and Jack King from Victoria, who had been in second place until the final corner of the feature race.
Fifteen competitors turned out for the Standard Speedway Karts.
It wasn't a good night for Kerrie South Southwell of Tuross Heads or Terry Shipley from South Durras who were both forced out after an accident in the first heat.
The second head of the Standards was marred by a spectacular mid-race collision with Hilltop's Luke Whitehead spinning out of control mid pack.
Three other karters were unable to avoid him but luckily all escape with minor injuries.
The remaining heats and the feature race were incident free and were dominated by Victorians with Bob Latta taking the title back to Mildura.
He was followed by Mark Lyons in second and Gareth Tyson in third.
Eight racers contested the Modified division with the heats run at a frantic pace and with only a couple of minor incidents.
Lake Conjola resident president of the South Coast Speedway Kart Club Nev Britton took the honours over Paul Ledgerwood of Queensland and current national champion, Bob Latta.
It represented a promising return to form for Britton, who only managed a third place last year.
The premier high speed division, the Outlaws, produced some more great racing and some outstanding results for the South Coast club.
All heats were run without incident.
Jadan Roxburgh of Sanctuary Point outclassed father Iain to win the feature race by almost a quarter of a lap followed by Steve Robertson of Bega and Brandon Corish, also of Sanctuary Point.
It was a great comeback for Brandon who was making his return to racing after breaking his ankle in a rollover at the same venue earlier in the season.
