28 Oct, 2009 02:06 PM
MOLLYMOOK SURF CLUB

This week will be the first round of the Sydney Water Premiership, to be held at Warilla beach.

The club will have large contingent of both junior and senior members attending, which is great to see.

We look forward to hearing about some good results.

The board and ski team have quite a few competitors attending as well as our beach sprint team, who will be attending future events as well.

SOUTH COAST SURF BOAT PREMIERSHIP

The South Coast Surf Boat Premiership will kick off next weekend, with the first round to be held at Pambula.

Good luck to all of our competitors and, above all, enjoy yourselves.

BRONZE MEDALLION TRAINING

Bronze training has commenced with a huge squad now in training.

On Sunday it was great to see this large squad, together with the IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat) squad training in the water.

The club was a very busy area last Sunday, with a large amount of junior registrations and the Bronze/Surf Lifesaving Certificate and IRB training in action.

PATROLS

Patrols are all being well attended, with few absentees having been recorded.

Please remember, if you cannot attend your rostered patrol because of work commitments or sickness, please inform your patrol captain of such.

MEMBERSHIPS

Just a note that some memberships are still well overdue!

Please return your membership form, complete with subs and signed Prohibited Declaration Form, to registrar Wendy Austin on a Sunday morning at the clubhouse or send to PO Box 59, Ulladulla 2539.

With plenty of participants in all age groups, events with closely contested with lots of tight finishes. Well done everyone!

Thank you to the parents of the kids in the six years and over age group, as well as parents from other age groups who assisted with running events.

Next week, parents and grandparents of our 4-year-old kids will be rostered on to help with awarding places, recording results, and holding the rope for the run-and-wade.

A reminder that Sandgropers is for children aged 2-6 years with the age your child was on September 30 determining the age group they participate in.

Every week, kids can participate in four events - sprint, marathon, flags, and run-and-wade - with events finishing by 11am.
