Mollymook Golf Club Report
The last seven days have seen a lot of golf played at both courses, some good golf and a lot of Christmas hangover golf.
The highlights of the week included visitor Paul Frame’s hole in one on the 5th on Thursday (which was Paul’s first hole in one of his life); the play of visiting pros Greg Green (Bonnie Doon) who shot a four under par round on Sunday and 2008 NSW Open Champion Aaron Townsend, who shot a two under par round while playing in the same group.
Mollymook members also took advantage of the excellent course conditions, as Rod Tucker shot a one under par round on Tuesday, while Stan Steed (42 points), Rod Owers (43 points), Christine Mulvey (41 points) and Richard Shearman (43 points) all blew their handicaps to pieces during the week.
Shearman started his round with a wipe, followed by a bogey on the 2nd before blitzing the rest of the course in one under par (off his handicap of nine). Members be warned, you won’t hear the end of that round for a while.
