Ulladulla Police Seargent Sean Phillips said a number of mobile phones and electronic devices had been stolen during the summer holiday period.
“Items were stolen from peoples possessions when they were left in view or unattended in peoples’ cars, at the beach or on picnic tables,” he said.
“People have to be careful with their belongings and don’t present anyone with the opportunity to steal.
“The biggest spike over the holidays has been opportunistic theft.”
Seargent Phillips said police would continue roadside alcohol and drug testing and traffic-focused patrolling.
“I hope people enjoy the rest of the holiday period and have a safe journey home,” he said.
