Elleisha represented the Nowra Lions Club at the regional level of the quest.
She competed against other club winners from the Lions clubs of Bomaderry, Gerringong, Minnamurra, Moruya, Jervis Bay and Ulladulla.
All these students aged between 17 and 19 years had previously won their club levels.
Elleisha won both the event and the public speaking section of the competition, with her five minute speech titled Material Wealth and Happiness - a comparison of what we take for granted and those in remote indigenous communities.
The Lions Youth of the Year quest seeks a high level of academic leadership, sporting, public speaking and citizenship achievements in its winners.
Elleisha will go on to the district level of the quest, where she will compete against six other students who have also won their regional levels, from around the Lions District of 201 N2, an area spanning Helensburgh in the north, to the Canberra regions and down to Eden in the south.
