But after 25 years in the one business, she knows it is a lot.
When she took over Tifffany’s Hair upstairs at Ulladulla's Harbourside building in 1988 she intended to change the name, but never did.
“You know how you intend to do something down the track, but then you never manage to do it,” she said.
Since then she has been on her feet cutting and styling hair for 48 hours a week, with her two weeks off twice a year vital to keeping her ready and able to work.
However the real key to staying in business for 25 years was, “I enjoy coming to work each day,” Judy said.
“You have to really enjoy it to keep doing it for so long.”
A spectacular view out over the Ulladulla Harbour also helps the days pass, she said, as did loyal customers who had placed their trust in her hands for many years.
Among those was Kerry Johns, who let Judy choose the colour for her hair.
“Everybody lets her choose,” Kerry explained.
Judy said she enjoyed deciding on colours for her clients, “Because that’s what I’m trained to do,” but some customers preferred to make their own choices.
Already seeing two generations of clients in some families, Judy said she planned to keep cutting and styling hair for a few years yet.
However another 25 years “could be pushing it,” she laughed.
