The headline act, Charlie took to the stage on Saturday afternoon, impressing the 500-strong audience with his smooth voice and immaculate guitar technique.
Later that night he sat around the campfire with guests and said he was amazed by the Kidgeeridge vibe and location.
On only his second visit to Australia, Charlie said he had never experienced regional parts of the country, describing the lakeside venue as “magnificent”.
“I love it here,” he added.
Held at the property of Graham and Vicki White over the weekend, the annual festival not only provided locals and visitors with an eclectic mix of music, from jazz and blues to country, it also raised more than $30,000 for local charities.
Graham was pleased to hand out 13 cheques on Saturday morning, including $4,000 to both the Ulladulla Food Bank and burns victim Turia Pitt.
He said the festival went off without a hitch and could not have gone ahead without the assistance of dozens of volunteers who manned the bar, roads, kitchen and helped set up the venue.
“We couldn’t put this on without our wonderful volunteers,” he said.
Graham said the acts on Friday afternoon, throughout Saturday and into both nights, had people on the dance floor or relaxing under the marquee.
He said all the performers were impressed with the boutique venue, with The Backsliders returning for their second festival.
The Sunny Cowgirls had the festival rocking with their classic country and also taking to the stage were Vince Jones, Four Play, Collards Greens and Gravy, The Pinks, Pete Cornelius and The Devilles, The Muddy Waters Tribute Show and Johnny Cass.
Donations also went to the Ulladulla Marine Rescue Association, Lake Conjola and Fishermans Paradise Rural Fire Brigades, Ulladulla Soccer Club, Ulladulla Stroke Club and the Milton Show Society.
