The upgrade, undertaken by Dolphin Point constructions, took out the award for best commercial project worth between $500,001 and $1 million.
Judges said the project was a credit to the builder and his trades.
They said the builder had been required to work outside normal opening for the project – which included a new façade – and had completed the project “to an excellent standard”.
The award was accepted on the night by Glen Thompson.
Other local winners included Baylander Builders, with Tory Puglisi collecting the award for best commercial project up to $500,000 for the extensions to the Ulladulla Endoscopy and Medical Centre.
According to the judges, the builder had to overcome a number of challenges in the transformation of an aged building on the Princes Highway in Ulladulla.
They said the project was a credit to the builder with all his trades being of a high standard of finish.
Nowra-based firm Ablock Builders collected the award for best domestic renovation and addition over $500,000 for a project in Victor Avenue, Narrawallee.
The alterations and additions were undertaken at a cost of approximately $1.5 million.
Judges said the owners gained a structure “that encompasses a very high standard of workmanship by all trades involved”.
“The builder met the challenges and can be proud of his completed project,” they said.
