Funds are rolling in and it is hoped to raise about $2,000 for the Greater Sydney Powerful Owl Project.
The two teams from MUD Birdwatchers which raced each other over the 24 hours enjoyed great weather and excellent conditions.
The Lying Lapwings coming out ahead with 119 species and the Wooden Spoonbills not far behind with 105.
Among the notable sightings were a Yellow-billed Spoonbill at Conjola and a Varied Sitella at Meroo.
Many other delightful birds were seen along the way.
The two teams are now waiting for the results from other teams across the state.
