The daughter of former Ulladulla residents Kirsty Whitmore and Chad Moss, Taylor recently returned to the Gold Coast from Nashville, Tennessee, where she spent two weeks working on songs for her new album.
After performing on the national stage, including at last year’s Gympie Muster, Taylor said she was looking forward to packing up her guitar and returning to Milton for the Cancer Council fundraiser on September 6 and 7.
She said the audience could expect to hear “new material, and covers that people can relate too”.
Relay co-ordinator Caz Boland said the 2014 relay entertainment was “shaping up to be awesome”.
“We have a focus this year on the young talent in Milton-Ulladulla which is really amazing,” she said.
“We are very lucky and excited to have Taylor performing this year, because she has been doing some amazing things with her music and we are honoured she is making the trip to come play.”
Chloe Dadd will make her first appearance on the relay stage, along with new Ulladulla High School band Quite Like Pete, Milton Idol runner-up Jase Grant and Hard to Find with Maya Holstegge on lead vocals.
Caz is encouraging local groups and businesses to enter their mascots in the Mascot Race and for brave boys to dress in their best for the hilarious Miss Relay pageant.
As the relay is being held during the Father’s Day weekend, dads are invited to take part in the tug-o-war which will be followed by a special thank you afternoon tea.
