The members appreciated being involved with the Hilltop women golfers on their Charity Golf Day.
The golfers and auxiliary stacked the trading tables with lots of hand made goods, homemade cooking, plants, and preloved goods.
After the golfers had finished their game it was time for lunch and shopping, then the raffle winners were drawn.
The golfers would like to thank all the retailers and restaurants for all the vouchers and gifts that made interesting gift bags for the winners. Julie Cuthbert, who had her mother’s paintings made into beautiful greeting cards, presented a cheque for $500 for the renal unit.
The auxiliary was pleased to welcome Yvonne and Bev from the Milton Line Dancers.
They presented a cheque for $3000 to the renal unit, this being proceeds from the Christmas in July afternoon.
Planning is well under way for the October long weekend.
Hospital Auxiliary members have been asked to man stalls to sell tickets for a monster raffle at the Gardens Festival and Expo, which is being held at the Civic Centre, and six privately owned open gardens.
This event is being organised by the Ulladulla and Districts Garden Club. There will be lots for members to do and it is sure to be an interesting weekend with guest speakers, demonstrations, stalls and everything garden.
The auxiliary street stall on September 4 will also have a Father’s Day raffle.
On Saturday, September 6 the monthly sausage sizzle will be held in the Harris Scarfe car park.
As always a big thank you to Harris Scarfe management for their continued sponsorship.
The time for the September meeting has been changed to 2pm, arriving at the day care centre at 1.50pm.
This will be the new time from now on.
The auxiliary appreciates the hospital day care clients and staff for allowing them to have meetings on the hospital site, thus making it easy for the management to attend meetings.
Until next time, Trudy Bidewell (publicity officer).
