Last week 23 people started for the Beachside Ladies nine hole Single Stableford competition.

A presentation and congratulations was extended to Lesley Rossetto recognising her hole in one on the second in competition on Tuesday, August 5.
The competition for next week will be a nine hole Stableford preceded by the Chip in for Breast Cancer Competition so please come earlier so you have time to “chip in”.
On Wednesday, September 17 the Hilltop Vets Individual Par was played with 113 starters.
A grade winner – G. Smith plus four, runner-up K. Oliver plus two countback, third T. Walker plus two.
B grade winner – J. Kennedy plus two, runner-up K. Lowes plus one countback, third B. Glyde plus one.
C grade winner – P. Davis plus three, runner-up D. Brown plus two, third D. Edwards plus one.
D grade winner – B. Thompson plus three, runner-up H. Maurer plus two, third J. Allen nil countback.
The Beachside Vets 9 Hole Single Stableford was played with 36 starters.
A glorious sunny morning seems to be conducive to a goodly turnout of players.
Brian Burnett’s 23 points enabled Brian to finish as the winner, with Danny Fleming the runner-up on 21 points.
Russell Laird on 20 points was third placegetter on a countback.

On Sunday, September 21 the Hilltop Medley Single Stableford was played with 47 men and 21 women starters.

B grade winner – J. Khouri 37, runner-up I. Reed 36, third B. Hasler 35 countback.
Points run down to 34 countback.
Ladies:
Division one winner – J.Kemp 40, runner-up J. Woodward 38.
Division Two Winner – R. Williams 35, runner-up E. Wootton 34 countback.

ELEVEN juniors took on the beachside course on Sunday.
Seven players were taking on the full 9 hole course and competition was tight.
The nett winner was Jye Halls with a great score of 31 ahead of Cooper Jones on 34 nett.
The gross winner had to be decided on a countback with Blake Halls taking out the Gross with a fantastic 54, he was victorious over Ryan Clugston who did well after a break.
The 9-hole short course had four competitors taking on the course and the scoring was hot.
The nett winner was Hayden Jones with 28 nett just ahead of Max Pascoe on 29 nett who had one of the best rounds he has ever played.
The longest drive for the full nine players went to Ryan Clugston, the nine hole short course longest drive winner was Hayden Jones.
Nearest to the pins went to Blake Halls who hit a fantastic shot to about three meters.
There is a lot happening in the upcoming school holidays, starting with the Eden Junior Open on Monday, September 22.
There will also be a two-day junior clinic held at Catalina Country Club on September 23 and 25.
