Organised by the Ulladulla and Districts Community Resources Centre, the Bunnings store had a barbecue, information stalls, jumping castle, children’s activities and free giveaways and was supported by local groups and organisations.
St Vincent de Paul operated the barbecue, Red Cross offered fruit cups, the Ulladulla Youth Centre had porcelain paining activities for children and Community Housing was giving away free balloons, to name a few, all adding to the fun day with a serious message.
Ulladulla and Districts Community Resource Centre coordinator Maria Mitchell said it was a great day where the community got together to enjoy themselves, as well as connect with the services in the area that help fight poverty and hardship.
“It helped promote the services we have in the area and we hope that of people are in a crisis or they know someone who is in a crisis, they can point them in the right direction,” she said.
