And she has been on there regularly ever since, fitting in time on the mountain bike and spin bike between working in Ulladulla and all her other commitments.
Carly is hoping to cycle 250km during October and raise $500 for the Children’s Medical Research Institute as part of the Great Cycle Challenge.
This is the second year Carly has taken part in the fundraiser, but this year the flow of money has been a little slow, and she is well short of her target as the end of the month draws close.
She is calling for the community’s help, with donations available through her fundraising web page https://greatcyclechallenge.com.au/Riders/CarlyBrook.
Alternatively donation tins are also located in Ulladulla’s Capital Chemist and Anytime Fitness.
She hoped to raise more money for the Children Medical Research Institute.
“I personally don’t have kids, maybe one day, but it’s a great cause,” she said.
“I don’t wish cancer upon anyone, especially a child that hasn’t even lived a full life yet.”
