After morning tea Jim recited a poem by John Davis.
This was followed by a game of ‘guess who is not telling the truth’.
Marion, Rhonda and Jim shared a story from their youth with us and one of them added a little lie.
We then had to ask each one of them questions to determine whose story was not the full truth.
In the end it was Jim who had added something to his story.
This prompted other members to tell some true stories from their youth, which made for an entertaining morning.
Marion then had us use our hands to make a small present each that we could use for any occasion.
That made for good therapy, in particular for people whose hands are affected by stroke.
The lucky door price and the raffle were drawn, making some members happy winners.
We congratulated Pat and Doug in advance for their 60th wedding anniversary at the end of December.
The November meeting will be the last one for 2014 and will be the Christmas party, held at the Dunn and Lewis Centre.
We will play a game of 10 pin bowling, providing another opportunity for members to use their stroke-affected limbs.
Thank you to the local clubs for their support with this activity.
