GREAT surf and clear skies greeted the hundreds of visitors to Mollymook Beach on Saturday for the first round of the Navy Australian Surf Rowers League Series.

Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club hosted the event, which saw crews from surf clubs all over the state compete in the open men, open women, reserve men, under 23 male, under 23 female, under 19 men and masters divisions.
After a full day of fierce competition Bulli took out the open men’s, with HSP BMX Bandits the best of the open women’s.
Corrimal Comb Overs were the best in the reserve men’s division, and in the under 23s Bilgola Bennys and Broulee Sum Ting Wong took out the men’s and women’s respectively.
Broulee Sum Ting Wong were on fire in the junior events, also claiming victory in the under 19s.
However it was the masters division that was the highlight for locals, with Mollymook defeating Pambula to claim the division’s top honours.
