The office has again opened its doors for any donations to fill Christmas hampers, which are being given to families doing it tough this festive season.
Hamper numbers have grown since the collection started five years ago, and in 2013 the staff hit an all-time high with 20 hampers.
Renee Menzies from South Coast Business and Financial Solutions said the staff were overwhelmed with the support they get.
“The local community and local businesses always go out of their way to do what they can,” she said.
The office is asking for donations big or small from any local businesses or individuals who would like to brighten another family’s Christmas.
This could include anything from non-perishable food items, Christmas luxury items, toys, gifts for adults (no alcohol) or vouchers.
“We make sure every member of the family gets a gift, not just the children, just so no one misses out this Christmas,” Renee said.
“We would love to match what we made last year, so if we can get to 20 then I think that’s a good aim. That means 20 local families get a hamper.”
The families who receive the hampers might not already receive help or benefits, but often slip through the cracks and struggle in silence during Christmas.
South Coast Business and Financial Solutions works with different services in the area, including Family Support, Mission Australia and the schools to identify families that might benefit from a hamper.
Donations and who the hampers are given to are kept anonymous, even between staff.
Already the office has received donations from Elders, Raine and Horne, one of the ten pin bowling leagues at the Dunn Lewis Centre, Curves, Tabourie Child Care Centre, the Milton Ulladulla and Districts Tennis Association, the ExServos and Ulladulla Bowling Club, Ulladulla Toyworld, CC Gifts and Bargains, Milton IGA, local butchers and petrol stations.
If you or your business would like to donate, drop into South Coast Business and Financial Solutions, or give them a call on 4454 4502.
