Councillor Amanda Findley successfully lobbied for the meeting to be held in Ulladulla, a move that has been welcomed by Save the Milton Library driving force Alison Pakes.
Alison said the fate of Milton Library would be decided at the civic centre on Tuesday December 16 at 4pm.
"This is a great win and will give local residents, in particular older residents and families with school children, a greater opportunity of attending," Alison said.
The meeting follows a public rally held in October and community consultation about the future of the library which could include cuts to opening hours or the closure of the facility.
Alison is encouraging people to attend the meeting and show their support for the library.
"It is important for as many people as possible to show they want to keep the library doors open," she said.
"The Save Milton Library campaign has received ongoing support, but this is the final crucial step for our community."
