It was the most successful garage sale the charity has held, with all proceeds going to Yurana, a local voluntary organisation that has been providing free holidays to families with seriously ill children since 1988.
The organisers would like to thank all the people who either donated goods to sell or turned up on the day to support the local charity.
They would also like to extend special thanks to Jean and Merv Tuckwell from South Wentworthville who come down each sale with a car load of goods to sell from their family and friends.
Thanks also to Diane Leatham, Beverley and Neville Baker and Kent Brown for all their hours of help.
The day would not have been possible without the loyal group of regular helpers on the day whose assistance was greatly appreciated.
The raffle was drawn by Ann Chambers from Penrith.
First – Red 75E, bed doll won by Max Childs.
Second – Green 33E, six piece tea set won by Marie Easterbrook.
Third – Red 71E, Vince Kean, who kindly donated the prize back.
Fourth – Blue 29B, slow cooker won by Elsie Kidd.
Anyone who finds themselves alone on Christmas day is invited to join Yurana’s free Christmas lunch.
Please phone 4454 1700 to put your name on the list and join in the funday.
Yurana volunteers would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and merry Christmas.
