And the Milton Ulladulla Times is sponsoring both events to help spread the Christmas spirit, while the Milton Ulladulla Business Chamber and Milton Promotions Incorporated are working together to organise two great nights of festive fun.
The first Ulladulla community Christmas carols event in many years is being held in front of the civic centre at 5.30pm on Saturday, December 6.
It will be followed a few days later by the Milton Carols on the Milton Village Green at 5.30pm on Tuesday, December 9.
The two gatherings will be different, according to organisers, with the Milton event to focus on children from six local schools singing traditional Christmas carols, while the Ulladulla one will feature more moderns and Australian songs.
It will also feature a range of guest singers including people from the Milton Follies, the Miltones, Freddie Simon and Barbara Fletcher.
The Milton Town band will be playing at both events.
The Ulladulla event is being presented by the Milton Ulladulla Business Chamber, with ExServos Club chief executive officer Darryl Bozicevic the MC.
The fun kicks off at 5.30pm with a Christmas craft corner, followed by a Santa fun run at 6pm, in which people will be asked to race over 30 metres wearing some form of a Santa Claus costume.
The run will be divided into age groups for pre-schoolers, primary, high school and adults, with a $2 entry fee and prizes to be confirmed.
Carols will follow, ahead of Santa arriving to switch on a four metre-tall Christmas tree in front of the civic centre, just as a full moon starts to rise over the Ulladulla Harbour.
Food and beverages will be available at the alcohol-free event, and people are encouraged to bring folding chairs or a picnic blanket to make the most of the festive atmosphere.
Picnic blankets and folding chairs are also a must for the alcohol-free Milton carols, that normally attract about 800 people to the Milton Village Green.
Presented by Milton Promotions Incorporated and compered by Hamish Richardson, the night will feature performances by children from Milton Public School, Ulladulla Public School, Shoalhaven Anglican School, St Marys School, Ulladulla High School and Sussex Inlet Public School.
While the carols are going on the event will also offer a sausage sizzle, face painting and prizes.
The Milton carols are sponsored by the Milton Ulladulla Times and the South Coast Leisure Times, while the Ulladulla event is sponsored by the ExServos Club, Shoalhaven City Council, Milton Ulladulla Business Chamber, Milton Ulladulla Times and Ulladulla Printing Service.
