Swedish athlete Andreas Ahwall won the Sydney Morning Herald Sun Run on Saturday in 31 minutes and 15 seconds but the true victors were the charities that received almost $100,000 in donations.

More than 5500 participants took part across the 7km and 10km courses along the Northern Beaches.
Danielle Allen was the first female to cross the 10km line in 35 minutes and 17 seconds.
Gary Mullins won the 7km section and Joanna Cubis was the first female, crossing the finishing line just minutes later.
Race Director Rebecca Wilmer said: "We'd like to send a big thank you to everyone who participated in the event. Once again we are overwhelmed by your support and for the money raised for a number of such worthy causes."
The race is followed by the Cole Classic in Manly on Sunday. Participants have until 10am to register.
