Ultimate frisbee will start next Tuesday afternoon from 5.30pm at Frogs Hollow.
Organiser, Huddy Fuller, has been playing ultimate frisbee for many years, and started a successful competition in Tasmania, while he was studying medicine.
“It is the best sport I know,” Huddy said.
If there is one thing Huddy knows, it is sport.
The Mollymook doctor studied a sports science degree prior to studying medicine, and worked in sport rehabilitation for a year.
Huddy is aiming to replicate the success of his Tasmanian ultimate league here in Milton-Ulladulla.
He feels that ultimate frisbee is a great sport for people to get involved in, even if they have never tried it before.
“It is very friendly and fun,” he said.
The game involves two teams, a field, a frisbee and is very simple to understand.
It is also non-contact.
The aim is to get the disc into the opposition’s end zone, resulting in a point.
The first couple of weeks will be about gaging interest and letting people try out the sport.
After this, Huddy will aim to form teams and a friendly social competition.
All ages and abilities are welcome.
If there is enough interest, Huddy is also looking at forming teams for younger age groups.
Ulladulla high school is already in on the ultimate action, with Huddy taking a team to the state championships later this year.
If you are interested in playing, come down for a social game next Tuesday afternoon and join the Facebook group here.
