Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis announced funding of $85,000 towards the construction of the Yulunga Skate Park on Monday.
Mrs Sudmalis said the new facility was a "wonderful partnership between the community, council and the federal government".
“The youth of Manyana have a great community to grow up in and now they will have a skate park to match,” Mrs Sudmalis said.
“This facility has been designed through consultation with a team of young people from Manyana, the very people who will use the skate park.
Shoalhaven mayor Joanna Gash said skate parks were great for young people to increase their social and interpersonal skills.
“The skate park’s first stage is expected to be completed by the contractor in approximately 10 weeks,” Cr Gash said.
