THE rain stopped, the sun came out and Mother Nature smiled on the local tennis fraternity for a few hours on Saturday afternoon in order that its Super Social Saturday could go ahead as planned.

In spite of the weather forecast we had a good roll up and some great fun tennis was played.
Doug Petroff recited a poem about tennis veterans to which some of us could relate and it received quite a few chuckles. Well done Doug.
Afternoon tea proved to be a great success with some very yummy offerings, lots of chatter and laughs was had by all.
Tony Gerzanicz from the Milton Monday Group was the winner of the 2015/2016 membership draw.
All players had a lot of fun and a social afternoon at tennis and are coming back to our next Super Social Saturday to be held on June 13, with everyone welcome.

Saturday Morning Junior Comp Sponsored by Bakers Delight and Mr G’s Deli: Well I jinxed us at junior comp. I had to go and say that we were lucky not to lose any play due to rain last comp. I have learnt my lesson and will not mention rain again (maybe).
I suppose I will have to award myself the Bakers Delight award and the Mr Gs Deli award (only joking).

If any player who did not elect to play this comp but did wish to be a reserve could you contact me on 0417 437 006 and I will place you on the reserve list for the appropriate division.
We are always in need of reserves as there are always players unable to play on days for various reasons.
There will be a draw available for you all to take home. This will be handed out on Saturday morning at comp.
