The Entertainers was filmed using 4 high definition cameras during the show on Thursday, May 14.
It has now been produced on DVD. This is always the biggest project of the year, with many hours of hard work required to edit and produce the DVD.
At the last meeting, our treasurer Howard Anderson brought along a remote control drone for members to admire. The Q500 Yuneec comes equipped with a high quality camera and outstanding image stabilization.
The shots taken are nothing more than breathtaking since the drone can be flown where no cameraman can go.
Two of our members, Gwen Lea and Sandra Dodimead attended the ABC open workshop last month. The theme of the workshop was unsung. They were required to make a two and a half minute video on unsung heros.
Gwen’s was about Anthony Austin, a life saviour for over 30 years.
Sandra made two videos, one on the Rhododendron Gardens, Mt Pleasant Wollongong which is run by volunteers and another entitled Col’s Birds, about saving endangered birds at Lake Conjola which has been selected to be aired on the ABC.
Sandra's video Cols Birds can be viewed here https://open.abc.net.au/explore/92333.
Our next meeting is at 9.30am on Tuesday, June 4 at the Mollymook Golf Club meeting room.
The special guest will be Tyge Lander, local videographer and director of Pixelcinema TV. Anyone is welcome to attend.
