Eight Milton Ulladulla District Tennis Association juniors travelled to Batemans Bay on June 20 and 21 to represent the club in the South East Region Teams event.
Our 13 and under team of Alivia Brown, Jordan Brown, Riley White and Anton Willett played fantastic tennis to allow them to finish runners up in this age group.
Hannah Webb, Emily Dippell, Caleb Geraghty and Alex Bonser competed in the 17 and under division and also performed well.
This week coming will see Anton Willett, Riley White, Chillie Roland and Alex Bonser travel to Forster to compete in the NSW Closed Country Championships. We wish them luck.
On Sunday July 26 a Medibank Junior Development Series tournament will be held.
This is part of a series of round robin tournaments for beginner to intermediate standard of player, with ages for boy and girls 10 to 17 years as at December 31 2015.
All junior members are encouraged to play this event as it is great to play against new players and the more tennis you play the better you become at this fun sport.
Competitors acquire points for each tournament they play and can become eligible to compete at the end of the series in the champion of champions tournament, followed by the state final.
Entries close July 21.
For details and entry forms see Keith Bonser or phone 0417 437 006.
Saturday Morning Junior Comp Sponsored by Bakers Delight and Mr G’s Deli: We hope all juniors are enjoying their holidays and staying safe.
Remember if you are looking for things to do during the break you can grab a friend, a parent or just yourself and get up to the courts.
If you don’t have anyone to hit with, you can always hit against the wall on courts 6 and 7. The wall is a fantastic learning tool.
Keep a look out in the paper on the second week of the holidays to see the draw for July 18.
