And this time of year, we are all touched by the cold.
Flannelette shirts make it easier to combat the cold, and now they can also help in the cancer battle with the Milton Ulladulla Time organising Flanno Friday.
The idea is simple – switch your usual business shirts, blouses or uniforms on Friday, July 31, for flannelette shirts and enjoy the added comfort and warmth they offer, while making a donation to the Milton Ulladulla Cancer Outpatients Appeal.
The gold coin donations for the right to wear a flanno shirt are then sent to the Cancer Outpatient Appeal, PO Box 900, Milton.
The idea created plenty of enthusiasm among the Times staff, who hoped others in the local community would quickly become flanno fans while helping to save the lives of those in our community requiring cancer treatment.
And now everyone can enjoy the warm and fuzzy feeling of helping people enjoy better health.
