Vice-captains will be Abbie Wilesmith and Gene Johns.
Prefects will be Madelyn Nash, Darcy Reed, Sarah Mudge, Daniel Pyemont, Saskia Auer and Tyson Davies.
As a school captain, Liam hopes to make a positive difference for students in 2016.
“I am hoping to improve the general student wellbeing,” said Liam.
“I think if everyone is feeling safe and positive about school, then there is a flow on effect in their work and attitude.”
Tahlia shares these same thoughts, and will work with the vice captains and prefects to make school the best experience it can be for every student.
“We are hoping to work with our team of vice captains and prefects to instigate a buddy system to assist students who might be struggling,” Tahlia said.
“We are also hoping to give the school as much positive promotion as possible.”
Both the new captains were previously captains of their primary schools, so they have some idea about what might be in store for them next year.
They have also been on the SRC in previous years, and have become passionate about their school and leadership through their experiences.
“We have a great group of supporting leaders who are all awesome, and I am excited to lead the SRC in 2016,” Tahlia said.
