The boys have travelled to Wollongong to train and play against other development squads, which included a day trip to the Central Coast to play a gala day style of competition during the recent school holidays.
The boys are learning lots and are bringing back what they have learnt to their team, passing on skills and new knowledge to the entire team.

The U16s are the last team to play on field one, parents and friends we require your assistance to pack up the field, please remember that many hands make light work.
The first game on field two is the U7 Reds, if all parents from this team could assist in setting up the field for the day.

Under 9s
On the road again...I just can't wait to get on the road again....was the song that was pumping out of coach Mine’s vehicle on the way to Nowra.
And it seemed the boys were just as keen when they scored within the first minute with big Tom Nelson crashing over to put the boys up 4-0.
Nowra hit back quickly to even it up, but Isaac King then burrowed over from dummy half to put Milton back in front, and with the conversion from Tom Nelson the score was 10-4 to Milton.
The flash Tom Stokes was then taken in a high tackle earning his team a penalty which was followed by a barnstorming run by Riley Bowman, putting Milton on the front foot and Tom Nelson again burst through the Nowra defence to score his second try, extending Milton’s lead to 10 points.
Nowra scored first in the second third to make the score 14-8.
After some tight defence from both sides, the flash Tom Stokes broke the shackles and ran over to score in the corner.
The try was converted by the super boot of Riley Bowman and the score went to 20-6 in the Dogs favour.
Early in the last third and after some big runs by Blake Bellenger and Tyler Creech, Isaac King darted into the corner to score his second for the game.
Nowra was not lying down however, and hit straight back with a converted try to make the score 24-12.
Some crafty work from Eli Thistleton put Tom Stokes into a hole and we all know what happens when The Flash gets an opportunity, yep you guessed it he scored.
The ever reliable Jake Mines knocked over the conversion to put the result out of question.
A late try to Nowra left the score at 30-18 to the Dogs for a solid win.
Coach Mines was fairly happy with the performance particularly the attack.
Milton is at home next week against the Basin
Under 9 Blues
It was another away match for the U9 Blues sponsored by the Ulladulla ExServos, heading to Berry this week.
With the full team in attendance the boys were ready to go, but Berry came out firing and they took a good lead in the first 10 minutes.
Not to be defeated the boys fought back with man of the match Cody Martin scoring and converting his try. Good effort boys, Mason, Will, Owen, Kohan, Cody, Kruz, Nathan, Hayden, Jed and Adam, you boys should be proud of yourselves, keep up the good work.
It was not our day and Berry took the win 38-6.
Great runs and tackling all round, well done boys!
Under 14s
This weekend the Swordfish Restaurant and RTB Plumbing sponsored U14s took on Warilla Gorillas at West Ulladulla.
The Doggies where missing five of their team mates due to holidays and illness, we would like to thank Ulla Tytherleigh for making the big round trip to bring back Connor this weekend to play his part in the team, we have missed him over the past few weeks.
We would also like to welcome Tayne who transferred to our club in late June however he felt he was not settled enough to jump straight into our team at that time. Tayne helped the team out by commencing his Doggies career this weekend.
The Doggies dominated early with Lleyton finding the line in our first set, Haydn converted and three minutes into the match the Doggies had a 6 – 0 lead.
Four minutes and two sets later our big winger Chris charged up the sideline to score, again Haydn converted and the lead was now 12 – 0.
From the recommencement of play the Doggies worked the ball down the field and when the play was nearly on top of the line Jack was in support, took the pass and crossed for his first try ever in the corner.
It was only a matter of minutes later when Lleyton crossed for his second try of the match, it was converted by Haydn the score was now 22 – 0.
Warilla recommenced play and from the kick off Jyah took the ball and no one could stop him from crossing the line to extend our lead to 26 – 0 all of this in the first 15 minutes of play.
For the remainder of the first half the Gorillas stepped up their game and perhaps found our boys lagging a little scoring twice, however the Doggies went into the half time break with a 26 – 10 lead.
The first half was demanding on our big forwards they could not get a breather as often as they usually would however we are proud of the work that Lleyton, Jyah, Ryan, Rhys, Connor, Zeke and Tim put in, not only in the first half but the entire game.
The second half again saw the Doggies commence strongly with Chris again finding space out wide to cross for his second which was converted by Haydn and the Doggies extended their half time lead to 32 – 10.
Connor showed that a couple of weeks away from the team had little bearing on his ability and he again showed this season was his coming of age with a bullocking run to score on the far side, it was converted by Haydn, the score was now 38 – 10.
With the forever changing and swirling winds throughout the match we held a strong kicking game thanks to Tyler, Josh, Clay and Haydn.
Our kicking game enabled our speedy backs to chase the kicks and taking every opportunity to trap the Gorillas close to their own line.
Cooper, Kane, Jack and Tayne took every opportunity to menace the opposition.
With 11 minutes to go the Gorillas slipped past our defence to score but again failed to convert, the Doggies still leading 38 – 14.
In the final 10 minutes of the game Clay’s continual persistence and hard work payed off when he found the gap and crossed to extend our lead to 42 – 14.
With five minutes left on the clock Connor made the long trip home worthwhile crashing over to score his second and the final score was Doggies 46 – 14.
Players’ player went to Jyah, followed by Clay and Tyler.
Tries: L Roach 2, C Ireland 2, C Tytherleigh 2, J Williams, J Davis, C Blayden
Goals: H Galea 5/8
Under 15-1s
Playing the competition leaders Gymea the NRMA Batteries sponsored Under 15s tested the much fancied side with a super first half performance that had the everyone hoping for an upset, however the strong breeze and an increased effort by their opponents saw the game slip away during the second half.
The boys started with an impressive and committed defensive effort which rattled Gymea and then backed this with a steady attack that saw them pressing for early points. We looked to cross first but had it denied.
Gymea showed some strength and made the most of a couple of our mistakes to post three tries and go out to a 16-0 lead but the young Bulldogs were not done and came back with a great try with Cody Roach scoring wide out with a good backline play.
With the score at 16-4 and the Milton side pressing for more points a kick on the stroke of half time found Cody hungry for another try and he snatched the ball to place it just inside the dead ball for his second which Ben Russell converted to take the score to 16-10.
The second half saw us struggle to find field position against a strengthening wind and when Gymea came out with all guns blazing our fitness and lack of consistent training began to take its toll.
Gymea steadily rebuilt their game taking control with a string of tries that unfortunately saw the score blow out to 48-10 by full time.
Players points went to Charlie Frendo three, who put in an impressive effort in his first game back from a broken arm in trials with strong running and a committed game, Brandon Cassin two who ran and tackled strongly and one point each Elijah Humble, Cody Roach, Locky Self, Ben Russell and Tim Koellner.
Elijah was strong in all areas, Cody played his best game of the year, while Locky, Tim and Ben worked hard in defence.
Jordan Beitsch continues to show consistent form being solid in his wing position while Kyle Jarrett played strongly before succumbing to injury.
Tarje Whitford, Liam Conlon and Boyd Brayshaw put in steady displays while Alex Calladine made a great return from injury.
It was great also to see Tony Green-Kandarakis returnto the field after some time away.
Despite the final scoreline we can boast to being the team to have posted the most points against this side.
The boys showed their true potential in the first half and it is hoped they can take that form into their final four games. Well done guys.
Under 16s
The Southern Man Ulladulla Under 16 1s fought hard but got defeated by top of the ladder Stingrays.
This was do or die for our semi-final hopes and all the boys played their hearts out.
The Dogs did their normal shaky start turning the ball over in the first set and hence giving the Stingrays the opportunity to take an early lead.
But the Dogs did not put their head down with great defence and some good completions.
Late in the first half we lost Jayden Millard to a broken collar bone. The Dogs would have to fight hard now and that they did, they did not let their captain down and although they gave it their all the half time score was 0-16 Stingrays way.
In the second half the Dogs really kicked into gear, scoring the first try after some repeat sets of six.
The conversion was successful and they were in the grind until Stingrays scored two tries the full time score ending up 6-26 Stingrays way.
Although the Dogs lost the game I think all the boys put in a 100 per cent it was a big improvement on previous games.
The try scorer was Cruize Turay and Thomas Woodward converted.
Three points went to all the players, next week we play Wests at home I’m sure if the boys play the same as they did on the weekend they will be up for a win.
