With more than 50 ballet dancers, The Russian National Ballet Theatre is giving traditional Russian ballet a new lease of life, however the basic principle of the theatre is to preserve the creative heritage of the great masters and to search for new forms in choreography.
One of the most lavish theatrical events of all time, The Sleeping Beauty is the cornerstone in the company’s repertoire.
With its huge cast, fairytale settings and glorious Tchaikovsky score The Sleeping Beauty remains the very essence of classical grandeur.
This version has all the elements of an enduring fairy tale: romance, poetry, fate, goodness versus evil and, of course, love.
In recent years, the company has repeatedly toured many countries such as USA, China, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Guatemala, Poland, South Korea and Japan, as well as more than 30 cities across Australia.
They will enthrall audiences in a greatest classical ballet journey at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in Nowra on Saturday September 26 and Sunday September 27 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from shoalhavenentertainment.com.au or 1300 788 503
