Celebration was both muted and joyous; either way the vintage tasted superb to 40 members of Milton Ulladulla’s French community and friends.

On Wednesday night (November 19) the Alliance Francaise de Milton Ulladulla joined French communities around the world to uncork the first wine of the season.
Inevitably, conversations turned to the week’s tumult in Paris as the group celebrated Beaujolais Nouveau Day at the home of Jean-Stephane and Heather Estival with drinks and finger food in the spirit of the Republic’s motto: “Liberty, equality and fraternity”.
France normally marks the day on the third Thursday in November with fireworks, music and festivals, after the wine is officially released at 12:01am.
