To be able to provide a listening ear, or attend people’s homes to provide information or link people with services at these times is an important part of their job and they are looking for more people to help out.
If this is something you think you might like to do, the local Red Cross branch would encourage you to attend the next volunteer training session on December 6 at the St George Country Club in Sanctuary Point.
The sessions will go through what is required to be a part of emergency
Bookings are essential and must be taken by November 30.
No prior knowledge or particular skills are necessary.
