State funding of $400,000 will be allocated to excavate the sandstone and mudstone in the vicinity of the current wharf complex to enable installation of a small, safe boat harbour.
Shoalhaven City Council sought State funding and Councillor Allan Baptist says excavation will occur in June and July 2016.
Cr Baptist says Council will submit a Better Boating Grant application to cover final design and installation costs of the mini marina.

The initial concept advocated a massive marina with significant changes to the shape and use of the harbour but went nowhere.
