Northbound lane construction is making space for a slab to take a new design shelter, due for use in June, nine months after council reacted to residents’ fears.
The kerb is being widened to enable buses to pull safely to the side of the 80 kilometres an hour stretch, 30 metres north of the current narrow bitumen bay.
