It was a fundraising event hosted by Rotary for local community groups, with most of the funds going to Jindelara.
The Mollymook Surf Club and the Milton Rugby Club also benefited from the event. More than $5000 was raised.
Campese donated a signed jersey to auction which was purchased by Dom Fontecaro for more than $2000. The jersey was a limited edition half Italian and half Australian jersey made for Campese who played for both countries.
He is visiting from South Africa where he currently lives and was lured to the area by his friend, Dick Shaw who lives in the Ulladulla area.
In addition to raising funds, the night was also held to raise the profile on rugby union and the Milton Platypi Club.
